SOSCN Seminar, February 2012 The whole child – health, and Getting it Right Tuesday 28th February 2012, Glasgow Grand Central Hotel Out of school care plays a vital role in the lives of many children and young people: good health is key to these children achieving their full potential. So what steps can out of school care services take to ensure children and young people within their care receive the best support? This seminar will look at the Scottish Government’s strategy: Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) and discuss how out of school care services can support the SHANARRI indicators (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible, Included). Presentations on Infection Prevention and Control will also be provided by the Care Inspectorate followed by a question and answer session. NHS Scotland will also provide input into the day.
