Vacancy: Senior Playworker
Hours: 25 pw (maybe more in the holidays)

The kind of person this post would suit would be someone already in a playwork
position looking for more responsibility. Someone with a mature approach who has
experience supervising staff and working with children aged 4+.
Roles and Responsibilities:
A flexible approach is necessary to be able to respond to daily
changes/challenges. Help to provide a safe and happy environment in-line with the
company childcare policies and procedures and current legislation. Responsible
for the staff in organising,planning and preparing a programme of activities for
children aged between 4-16 years. There is an element of administrative duties in
the form of risk assessments, appraisals, care commission reports etc.

Rascals Children’s Committee in Cumbernauld operates a highly successful out of school service based in Redburn School. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic individual who is able to lead the service and provide creative play opportunities for the children, to ensure they have a fun time between school and home in a safe environment.
As the Project Manager you will need to have an understanding of the needs of children with profound and complex disabilities, the ability to manage a small staff team and be able to liaise effectively with other service providers, professionals and parents. The successful applicant must have the necessary qualifications to meet SSSC registration requirements or be willing to work towards this with the support of Enable Scotland.

We are looking for an assistant co-ordinator to join our busy after school and holiday care scheme. This is an excellent opportunity for progression for someone experienced in after school care or youth work. The assistant co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the co-ordinator in the day to day running of the club, organising and carrying out activities with children, supervising staff, liaising with parents and co-ordinating the scheme in the absence of the co-ordinator.
The person we are looking for has a mature approach, bags of energy, loves working with children, and is confident enough to work on their own initiative when needed. Experience of working with 5-12s or teenagers is essential, as are excellent communication and organisational skills. A relevant child care qualification would be an advantage.

Roles and responsibilities for the post include:You will work as part of the senior management team in one of our 10 clubs in East Renfrewshire. You will have a flexible approach to working and will respond to daily challenges promptly and sensitively to provide high quality childcare within a positive, safe and happy environment in line with company policies and current legislative requirements. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff in organising, planning and preparing a programme of activities for children and young people between the ages of 4 and 16 years old. You will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team and will support the administration of relevant paperwork, including risk assessments, appraisals and Care Commission Reports.
